BaileyFollowing the controversial sex toy demonstration in his classroom that prompted complaints and reprimands for the Northwestern University psychology Professor Michael Bailey, Rael decided to award Bailey the title of "Honorary Guide of Humanity".
According to the media that reported about the event, Professor Bailey offered his 100 students to watch a live demonstration of the use of a sex toy by a couple in his classroom, once the class was over.
Rael praised Professor Bailey's initiative saying that it is 'a great example of sex education which should happen everywhere in the world'. He said that 'such demonstration should even be available for much younger students, as soon as they reach puberty”. Rael also called for people to 'send their support to this teacher who dares go against all the dangerous sexual taboos prevailing in the US'.
The Raelian Movement is well known for its hedonistic values and for promoting a free sexuality as a mean for a healthy harmonious life. For example, Rael promotes masturbation and has joined forces in a conference on the subject with feminist Betty Dobson, he created the Rael's girls group to help sex-workers to not feel any guilt in doing what they chose to do, he launched the successful 'gotopless day' during which hundreds of women claim the right to be bare chested like men if they choose to do so, he launched the construction of a pleasure hospital where women who suffered female genital mutilation will be repaired for free.
“All these actions aim at balancing the highly puritanical views on sexuality that the religions of the past have imposed on us and Professor Bailey's contribution is most welcomed in the US!” explains Ricky Roehr, leader of the Raelian Movement in North America.
Here is more of Ricky Roehr's comments:
“We are pretty sure that like for the President of Northwestern, most of the public have felt disturbed while reading about the event and that some colleagues of Bailey try to file a complaint against him as sex-related taboos are so strong that Most Americans reading this interview will already be appalled at this news due to their religious education. Yet as psychologists are well aware, a healthy sex life means a healthy mind and a healthy body. So there is a dichotomy between religious views in the US and scientific fact. Furthermore, a healthy mind means a happy mind. Simply put, more pleasure means more happiness - and happy people are never, ever violent. It's maybe no surprise that the US is among the most violent countries on Earth. The only countries more violent are the countries with even more taboo views on sex - and there aren't many.
The USA Religious Right have been imposing their guilt for sex onto the rest of the US for decades now - and they have been succeeding, unfortunately. What professor Bailey did in his classroom should not only be done at the university level, but should be taught to children much younger. As soon as they reach puberty, they should be taught not only of the utilitarian functions of sex, but how to enjoy it for all the pleasure it provides. Every living thing on earth is programmed for pleasure. You cannot name one thing you do that is not for pleasure. Not even one! Nothing is more natural than sex. It's every bit as natural as breathing and eating. To feel guilt for something so natural is UNnatural and actually causes damage to the human organism. Again - it would be like a group of people telling others that breathing is bad...that drinking water is bad...that laughing is bad, etc."

Raelians are known for their hedonistic views on life in general. Many of the reports on Raelians even say they are obsessed with sex. When asked about this, Roehr said "It's quite the opposite. The people obsessed with sex are all those who try to make others feel guilty for having healthy sex lives. It's all the Religious Right talks about! Sex, sex, sex. Abstinence, no Gay or Lesbian sex, no sex before marriage, sex only for procreation, no birth control, no extramarital affairs, ...etc. It's all they talk about! Proof that this rhetoric is completely false is the fact that so many of the Religious Right US politicians and religious leaders who are touting these things are constantly being busted for doing just the opposite!"
